Blogmas Day 12 - Shinola
/Hiya Blogmas Friends, it’s party time!
Read MoreWhat’s up, my friends. It’s already December 7th? No way. I refuse to accept that the month is already a week over. It feels like Halloween was only a week ago. Anyone else feel me?
Read MoreGood evening, friends. Welcome to Blogmas Day 6! Greetings to you from all the way up in Northern Michigan.
Read MoreIt took me 24 years of my life to go to Frankenmuth, Michigan.
No, that wasn’t a typo. For those who have never heard of it, Frankenmuth - pronounced exactly how it’s spelled - is a small Germanic village in the middle of Eastern Michigan.
Read MoreIn case it wasn’t already clear, I am not big into most holidays and anything holiday-spirit-esque.
We didn’t celebrate them when I was young and I just grew up with the mentality that Christmas and the like were more-or-less unnecessary expenses, wastes of time, and stress-causers.
Read MoreI have always loved Detroit. Even throughout its rougher years, and despite the fact that I’ve always lived more than a few years away; Motor City has always had a special place in my heart.
Read MoreEach day I discover more beauty to see in my new backyard. Ethan makes it his mission to show me what I’ve been missing on this side of the state for the last 25 years and he is doing an amazing job. After months of exploring, I definitely have a new-found love of my home state. Hopefully my photographs can inspire you to do the same in your home.

I can barely contain my excitement for October 31st to roll around. I started decorating our apartment with haunted purple and orange trees and wreaths with lights and ghosts in early September!
Read MoreI’m not one for rituals and traditions - never have been. It’s just not how I was raised. But, I’m dating the King of we-do-this-every-year, so, I guess I better get used to them.
Read MoreNorthern Michigan doesn’t get much more “pure” than during the autumn season. Fall has always been my favorite color scheme and these pictures capture the pallet in a perfect light.
Read MoreI don’t often talk about my past - including where I’m from. It’s not that I’m ashamed of what’s behind me and what got me where I am today, I guess I just don’t often see the relevance in brining it up.
Read MoreThey say that when you're in a relationship with someone, you should try and take an interest in what they are interested in. Well, I don't know who "they" are, but because of them, I'm learning to fly fish. You read that right; I've been putting on waders and trudging through knee-high Michigan rivers in search of little fly-nibbling Trout. I'm just as stunned as you are, maybe more.
Read MoreA day with your family, watching glorious planes take to the skies and show us what flying is all about - that's how we do Independence Day in #PureMichigan.
Read MoreI'm just another Millennial taking on life one cup of coffee at a time. My blog Espresso Myself is a place for me to be me, for myself, and for everyone else. Write on!
