Blogmas Day 12 - Shinola
/Hiya Blogmas Friends, it’s party time!
Read MoreWe’re home! What a lovely weekend it ended up being. Such a sad feeling when Monday finally rolls back around again, but at least we made some great memories to get us through another week. So, as promised, for today’s Blogmas Day 9, I thought I’d share some more snaps and thoughts about mine and Ethan’s trip up north to Charlevoix.
Read MoreWhat’s up, my friends. It’s already December 7th? No way. I refuse to accept that the month is already a week over. It feels like Halloween was only a week ago. Anyone else feel me?
Read MoreGood evening, friends. Welcome to Blogmas Day 6! Greetings to you from all the way up in Northern Michigan.
Read MoreBlogmas Day 5 - welcome! This is becoming a late-night ritual of mine that I highly enjoy. Sitting and decompressing with you all. Thank you, again, for reading and coming along on my Christmas journey with me. December is usually a pretty tough month for me. Definitely, by no means, my happiest month of the year, even with my birthday in it. But, thanks in large part to these little diary entries, I’m enjoying it a lot more than I ever have.
Read MoreI’ve lived 25 long years. I can’t believe it.
I’ve never been one to think on my birthday too much, but for some reason, this birthday has really got me taking a deeper look into my life. I can’t believe that I’ve lived a quarter of a century. I honestly feel old - I know everyone says that, but for me, I officially can say it’s true.

No, that wasn’t a typo. For those who have never heard of it, Frankenmuth - pronounced exactly how it’s spelled - is a small Germanic village in the middle of Eastern Michigan.

We didn’t celebrate them when I was young and I just grew up with the mentality that Christmas and the like were more-or-less unnecessary expenses, wastes of time, and stress-causers.

Read MoreEach day I discover more beauty to see in my new backyard. Ethan makes it his mission to show me what I’ve been missing on this side of the state for the last 25 years and he is doing an amazing job. After months of exploring, I definitely have a new-found love of my home state. Hopefully my photographs can inspire you to do the same in your home.
Read MoreBeing a Western Michigan girl, I never had too much of an opportunity to explore the Eastern side. Until I met Ethan, I had no idea how many gorgeous places I’d been missing over here. Recently, I was going through some of my photographs from 2018 and I noticed just how many gorgeous placed I’d gotten to see since last year.
Read MoreIt’s date night!
Every so often, Ethan and I head out on the town to unwind in the evening after a long day of work. We have plenty of favorite places, but when we’re feeling and famished and a little feisty, there’s only one place that’ll satisfy us: Sagebrush Cantina in Lake Orion.

I can barely contain my excitement for October 31st to roll around. I started decorating our apartment with haunted purple and orange trees and wreaths with lights and ghosts in early September!
Read MoreI’m not one for rituals and traditions - never have been. It’s just not how I was raised. But, I’m dating the King of we-do-this-every-year, so, I guess I better get used to them.
