Sometimes We Can’t Tell Ourselves, But Someone Else Can. And You Can Quote Me On That.

I’m a sucker for a good affirmation.

For any given situation in my life, I can find the perfect quote or words of advice from someone wiser than me to compliment how I’m feeling and tell me what I need to hear.

A while back I learned that seeing positive affirmations and quotes around you throughout the day can actually help your self-confidence and mood. So, I took it upon myself to continuously archive words that helped me, inspired me, or made me think, and keep record of them to look back on them when I needed them most. I wrote them on sticky notes and displayed them on my mirror, walls, desk drawers, and anywhere else I knew I’d see them.

Because I truly believe we are not alone in this world and we all are always going through the same things as someone else, I thought I’d share my list of quotes and affirmations so that they might help someone else who might be in need of hearing exactly what they say.

Some are dark, some are light. Some a lonely and some are loving. Take each and every one with a grain of salt and decipher them however you’d like to or you need to to make the best use of them for yourself. Whether you can relate to any of the sentiments I mention or not, I hope you take some time to identify a few that are just yours. Trust me, no one knows what you need to hear quite as well as you do - and sometimes we can’t tell ourselves, but someone else can. And you can quote me on that.
