The Joy of Deleting Old Blog Posts: A Detox Story
/So, yesterday I took a digital sledgehammer to my blog archives. Picture me in a virtual hardhat, swinging gleefully at posts that were basically relics of a bygone era.
Why?
Because some of them were written during the reign of my toxic ex-boyfriend, and let’s just say, his influence was less “muse” and more “creative black hole.”
Deleting those posts felt like tossing out expired milk — necessary, refreshing, and a little overdue. It’s amazing how much digital clutter can weigh you down, especially when it’s tied to a period where your creative voice was more “help, I’m trapped!” than “let me share my truth.”
But now, those cobweb-covered posts have been swept away, leaving behind a blank canvas. No more reminders of that time when my blog was an awkward mix of my thoughts and his unsolicited edits. Just pure, unfiltered me, ready to pour out my thoughts without the ghost of boyfriends past hovering over my shoulder.
So, here’s to fresh starts, authentic voices, and the joy of a clean slate.
If you’ve got any digital skeletons lurking in your closet, I highly recommend a good old-fashioned delete-fest. It’s therapeutic. And who knows? You might just find the inspiration you need to move forward, unburdened and ready for whatever comes next.
