Blogmas Day 7 - Vacation
/What’s up, my friends. It’s already December 7th? No way. I refuse to accept that the month is already a week over. It feels like Halloween was only a week ago. Anyone else feel me?
We’re still up north eating, drinking, and being merry.
Yesterday, we finished the day with a nice, relaxing dip in the hot tub. What a wonderful way to end a day. I have to get one of those in my future home. I could honestly sit in the hot tub, quite-contently, all night. One of my favorite pastimes is enjoying a warm hot tub outside while it snows. Watching the flakes fall all around you is so beautiful and peaceful - it just can’t be beaten.
Today, we tried our best to see as much of the town as we could. Coffee and pastries to start, and then some shopping and a brewery tour in the afternoon. Then, more shopping, eating, and beer flights to finish out the day. Dinner’s next and even though I’ve spent the entire weekend snacking on store samples, candies, and appetizers, I am pretty excited about it. Maybe I’m just craving Mexican food (the cuisine of choice for dinner), which isn’t uncommon for someone who enjoys spicy food as much as I do. Or, maybe I’m just looking forward to eating a real meal for a change - one can only eat so many appetizers in one weekend before they start to get a wee bit old.
As I said before, a complete review of this little excursion to come, but I can say that if you’re looking for a wonderful way to spend a weekend, this wouldn’t be a miss.
We’re both tired, but happy. I’ve actually been having a really good time and I can’t speak for Ethan, but I’m pretty sure he is, too. We both NEEDED a little adventure where were both could let loose and relax more than I could possibly explain. Life can really wear on your sometimes and it’s important to find some joy keep you going.
Take some time this weekend, either for yourself or with your partner, to just have fun. Life’s too short not to.
Speaking of, I’m off to get some food and have yet another flight of beer - fourth flight for the win.
Have a good night, friends and I’ll see you all tomorrow.
Cheers!
