Blogmas Day 3 - Tuesday

Happy Blogmas Day 3, friends.

I’m really glad I’m doing this. It gives me an excuse to just write my stream-of-conscious thoughts of the day. It’s much like a diary, which was always my intention for this blog. So, thanks to all of you for being apart of it with me. ♥️

As for last night, I made dinner (all by myself #adulting) for Ethan and then we proceeded to spend the entire night prepping and moving and decorating the tree. What an endeavor. It looks amazing in the corner of our apartment, but it was a process to get it there. At one point, I didn’t think we’d ever put all our furniture and plants back in their homes after we had completely up-rooted the entire room. 

I didn’t sleep well again last night. I’d love to blame the whole Mercury in retrograde thing, but stress is probably the more likely cause. It’s a crazy week at work and the holidays always put me in a hol-i-daze anyway. I haven’t looked forward to getting some rest so much in such a long time. Hopefully tonight I can finally catch up.

Tonight we decided to take the night off of doing laundry and catching up on work and head over the border for some wings at our favorite hang out The Loose Goose. Tuesdays they have a boneless wing deal that I couldn’t recommend more. Pop by if you’re in the Windsor area and craving some absolutely delicious food and wonderful hospitality. I love having Canada a short twenty-minute drive away. It’s like a mini-getaway every time we cross over. But you try explaining to an overly-serious border agent that you drove across the border to another country just to get dinner and see how they respond. It’s always a laugh, but once we state our case, they always end up letting us through - much to their dismay.

Things are starting to feel very wintery outside. Each morning on my walk into work I think back to my time in warmer climates and wish desperately to be back. I don’t love the cold one bit. It doesn’t help that I have a genuine distaste for wearing a coat. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE COATS - they can add so much class to an outfit, but I hold out having to actually wear one for as long as humanly possible. I didn’t even bring one with me to dinner tonight. It’s almost like I have oppositional defiance of Mother Nature. Does that even make sense? I live for winter’s splendor and wardrobe, but the rest I could surely do without. I hope you’re all keeping warm, wherever you are, coat or no coat. ☺️

Anyway, that’s all for today, friends. It was a pretty typical Tuesday overall. Tomorrow I have a thrilling dentist appointment and a busy work from home day to look forward to. This daily blogging this really isn’t for folks like me with fairly average lives, but hey, I set a goal for myself to not miss a day until Christmas so that’s exactly what I’m going to do. I hope you all will stick around until the end - who knows what might happen between now and then… 😉
